| Head of the laboratory | František Ďurovský, Ing., PhD. |
| Number and structure of the laboratory staff | Laboratory of automobile electronics (LAE) serves tuition of subjects from the field of auto electrical engineering and electronics purposes, and hence has no full time employees. Involved in teaching are two departments (KEMT & KEMPI) and c.a. 8 persons: 1 professor, 2 associate professors, 3 lecturers and a doctorand; |
| Nature of research activities | On the present stage the lab is intended primarily for tuition. In progress at a time is ‘familiarisation' research in the field of automobile-wise electronics and mechatronics, search of suitable partners for cooperation in the already mentioned issues, and upgrading of the instrumental and program equipment. In the field we were up to the day resolving tasks revolving around the below outlined themes:
|
| Instrumental equipment (‘age' and value) | Motor vehicles KIA Ceed, Škoda Superb, Škoda Octavia II. Masterbook VW Polo, 1 x simulator of CAN bus - CANoe, 2 x VAG-COM - sw for basic diagnosing of vehicles, 1 x oscilloscope, 3 x measuring cards NI, 4 x PC, 1 x vehicle dynamics simulator CarSim inclusive of real-time version + 10 x students' version CarSim, 1 x real time simulator Opal-RT, 1 x equipment for vibro-diagnosing, manual measuring devices. Age of the devices and instruments does not exceeds3 years. Following devices were taken over: brake for measuring engines of up to 150 kW, electric equipment tester (both devices are some 15 yrs old and are in desperate need of the electrical equipment upgrading). Total value in terms of the purchase price is c.a. 3-4 mil SKK. |
| State grants awarded (since 2002) (Number and financial amount) | 2 development projects amounting to over 2.5 mil. SKK |
| Foreign grants awarded (since 2002) (Number and financial amount) | |
| Number of like laboratories in the region | 0 laboratories in the region |
| Number of like laboratories in Slovakia | 1 laboratory in Slovakia |
| Area | 160 m2 |
| Lab accreditation (yes/no/possible within a year) | Laboratory is not accredited. |
| Need for investments to attain "excellent laboratory" status | C.a. 10 mil. SKK (estimate) |
| Five most important projects resolved (since 2002) | No research tasks have been resolved. Developmental projects focused upon the laboratory principal equipment. |
