As of September 1, 2026, the Artificial Intelligence Competence Center (KCUI TUKE) has been established at the Technical University of Košice (TUKE). Its objective is to support modern higher education and the systematic development of advanced skills in the field of artificial intelligence. Its creation is part of a broader initiative by the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic to modernize higher education and strengthen competencies in artificial intelligence.
The Center will integrate expert knowledge, modern technologies, and practical experience to bring artificial intelligence closer to students, doctoral candidates, and university educators. Emphasis will be placed on the responsible use of AI, the modernization of teaching methods, and the development of competencies essential for a digital society.
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at TUKE plays a key role in building the Center’s expert and technological foundation. Planned activities include the development of modern educational programs and practical instruction utilizing artificial intelligence, robotic systems, simulations, and other advanced technologies.
We will provide ongoing updates regarding further activities at KCUI TUKE and opportunities for involvement.
